ooops

my husband stumbled on this blog. i laughed saying he wasn’t supposed to know this exists, nababawasan ang freedom ko to blog. bakit ba kasi naisipang makisurf dito sa laptop ko eh.

the souvenir haven

i need to go to Divi.

i’d like to check the lootbags, giveaways and prizes available there. coz i’ll probably base my decision on what theme to get for BG’s birthday on this.

i’m quite sure there are plenty of dora and spongebob items there. but both are not on my list.

i’m considering disney princess, mickey and friends, and backyardigans.

i need to go to Divi. hirap naman kasi. promise, sa May, mamimili na ‘ko. :D

diaper rUsh

our friend jamie suddenly got jobless (she works as a med rep).  their company closed. biglaan, just like that. tsk, tsk. good thing she was offered another job agad in another company.

————

BG uses skip’s diapers for daytime, and mamy poko for nightime. (actually they’re from the same manufacturer).  we got the chance to try this brand when jamie (BG’s ninang) gave us a big box of skip’s newborn when i was still 8 months pregnant. we never changed brands since. but these past 2 weeks, we’ve been looking for skip’s diapers in supermarkets. only left on the shelves are size S. BG uses size L.

——-

then it dawned on me. walang skip’s sa market kasi nga nagclose na yung company nagdidistribute dito. sheeesh. :(

——-

BG’s still using mamy poko for nighttime, but now using huggies dry comfort (red) for daytime. i hope she won’t get any rashes. mas mura eh. :D

*sigh*

i’ve been trying not to blog for days now. it’s because i’ve been trying to keep myself from discussing about what’s going on my mind. it’s mainly about BG’s first birthday.

(deleted…felt like i’ve divulged too much)

BG has become so restless. she started hating to be sitting down just observing things. she now wants to stand up while nagbubutingting ng kung ano ano. (sarap gamitin ng word na “butingting” in a sentence) she stands up while watching tv, babagsak, then will stand again. she enjoys this. ang kulit pero nakakaaliw. i wonder kung maaliw pa din ako when she learns to walk, tapos ako yung hahabol habol ng nakayuko. woohoo sarap sa likod at balakang!

i bought baby couture diaper bag (sira na bag nya eh) the camille model. i think it’s not yet available online ‘coz it’s one of their newly arrived models. (promise?) anyway, as we were leaving for home (yes ginamit ko agad tonight when we went to a family gathering) i took a glimpse of myself on the mirror, it looks really nice ha. yuck vain! hehe. and BG was really interested on her new diaper bag, peeking inside the bag, and getting things out when i put them in haha. so instead of 5 mins, it took me 15 mins just to pack up. funny, even her uncle thought it was a designer bag.

no cake?!?! seriously!

i’ve always like cakes. for occasions, a big chunk of the budget goes to the cake.

we had cake from alex franco for our wedding, sugarbox for my baby’s baptism, and i’m planning to get a cake from kitchen krafts for my baby’s first birthday (sssh! quiet)

but i have several gallstones. and the doctor advised (if i don’t want them removed surgically) to avoid eating creamy food, including sadly, cakes.

tsk! tsk! so sad. :(

so happy today

hmm, i’m toying with this idea. i’ll keep mum about it. sana by july, i could share it here na. i’m so happy just thinking about it. :)

we’re going to water spa tomorrow! sana matuloy! yipee.

sayang bawal camera sa loob. :(

yikes! friday the 13th nga pala. hmm, for just another 31 mins, and then, it’s over. no mishaps so far. :D

i’m running out of friends

gone working abroad, that is.

hubby and i thought about living abroad too. but we assessed our life style, and what makes us happy. naah! philippines is definitely for us for the following reasons:

  • (yaya and maid) labor is cheap
  • one job for each person is enough
  • lifestyle is relaxed
  • sundays can be devoted to church, family and fun
  • we both have close family ties, and most relatives are here in the philippines
  • pinoys are God-fearing people
  • children act like children
  • here, being a virgin isn’t a bad thing. in fact, virginity gives a girl pride and confidence
  • most pinoy kids are achievers (in academics or music or athletics)
  • we have good schools here
  • oldies are taken good care of by their own relatives (in their own homes)

sometimes, we get disappointed here too.

  • air pollution
  • heavy traffic
  • inconvenience (no change for P500 at a convenience store? duh! or many places you can’t easily go to without a car)
  • corruption

yet, our reasons to stay outnumber our disappointments.

i’m just not sure for how long.

summer fun at the garage

Yesterday, BG had fun playing on our newly bought plastic swimming pool. it was small, just enough for BG to get used to playing with water under the sun haha. :D

at first, she doesn’t want to let go. she sat on my lap pa (yes, i got in din hehe, 9 months pa lang sya eh), then after a while, she sat na on her own, bandang huli, naglalaro na mag isa, feeling nya nasa bed lang kami. katuwa.

minsan, mura lang maging masaya no?

walking down the memory lane

hubby and i went to a clinic to get a medical certificate. anyway, we decided to leave the car in the parking lot at the nearest mall, and just commute and ride an fx instead. we walked down this very busy street. i used to walked on this street when i was still in high school/college. this was where i bought cheap stuff, like the ones that can be bought from divisoria. i bought several gold fish from there too. geez, there used to be a studio where i had my wallet-sized pictures taken (even in my younger years, i really like posing for pictures, ugh! )

i was happy. the street brings back memories. but sad at the same time, because it’s pretty obvious the place never seemed to progress. one store selling pirated cd’s was playing the same song i heard when i passed by there years ago. :|

—————

we went to the spa (after getting his med. cert.) we tried relaksasi at sm north edsa. hmm, we weren’t satisfied. it wasn’t relaxing. we guessed the therapists were new (i enjoyed my pedicure though)

still, soniare (located at tomas morato ave, qc) tops our list.

hosting blooper

I had the most embarrassing blooper last night. it was the 80th birthday celebration of my hubby’s lola at Plaza Ibarra. i was assigned as one of the party hosts. we were told to introduce lola when we see her coming. it was a long carpetted walkway from the rostrum to the entrance. imagine this, in my loud and enthusiastic voice, i said “may we present to you…Ms…!!!” and when they opened the door, it was lola’s cousin instead! Batoink!!! (in fairness to me, they looked alike.)

it turned out ok na din, dinaan na lang namin sa charm :P
