perfect pair of shoes

grabe! napakahirap as in no exaggeration here (you may even want to ask my hubby) maghanap ng shoes ng bata!

i saw a lot of almost the same style. but the ones that i wouldn’t wear even if i stand just a feet high. plus, of course, we wouldn’t want to sacrifice comfort for beauty. you know what’s funny? there seemed to be tons of shoes for little boys. but the same chunky sandal-type for the little girls.

not sure if it was our location that made it difficult to find a good pair. i wonder if it’s this hard in the south.

maybe her foot size is just in the “betweens”, not too big nor too small. or maybe, being a 14-month old baby makes her too old for infant shoes but too young for young girls’ shoes.

i actually started looking for something quite unattainable, like ballet shoes in neutral color. then after an hour, i decided that it’s ok if it’s not in neutral color. after another hour, i decided ok not ballet shoes but closed flat shoes. then we went to nike, and saw a pair of gray rubber shoes.  hmmm, this is not flat but it’s closed. nah! the pair won’t match any of BG’s clothes.

then we saw a pair of flat open toe shoes, made of fabric. yes the type that little babies wear. this is definitely not what i had in mind. but i was too tired to even think twice. when i saw it, i put them on BG.

when i saw her walked in delight, i went straight to the cashier.
