2007.11.29 local news

was it just me or was it dejavu?

Trillanes was protesting…again.

the PNP overreacted. (imagine this: the tank ran over the Manila Peninsula hotel door/entrance) Trillanes group wasn’t even firing.

we are all over the local news. heck! we are even on CNN.

tsk! tsk!

Edited: whoa! curfew? 12am-5am? is this logical for a country that thrives on the call center industry? will martial law be imposed next? u-oh!

jumping jacks

i’m jumping jacks today. hmm, 3 jacks. no, i’m jumping a whole lot of jacks today. that’s how happy i am.

hubby’s little project is now on it’s pre-production stage. congrats dad!!!

i knew you’d do great! mwah! :)

budget decors

yesterday, we, together with our boss, reserved Greenmeadows Clubhouse for our upcoming Bundle Christmas party. But our hearts sank when we were informed that live bands are prohibited. Well, the committee decided we shall have acoustics (probably a contest) instead.

i studied the place and have an idea how to prettify (yes prettify, very girly! hahaha) the place. we will be having a Disney Christmas theme. Sadly, the budget for the decors is so limited. In fact, i was told that if budget needs to be adjusted, we will have to scrimp on the decors. Tsk tsk. So sad.

i guess our creativity will be put into test. now, that’s the challenge. :D

hectic weekends

for several weekends now, our family had been hopping from one party (or get-together) to another. if not, we were out shopping for christmas gifts.

just last saturday, hubby and i went to a baptismal party (without Mikee) with friends.

after which, we went to Richwell Bazaar at Libis (this time with Mikee) to buy toys for our inaanak, Mikee and guess what, me! I saw this cute Polly Pocket collection and i can’t let go of it. I showed it to my kumare because the Capricorn that she is, I know she’d like one for herself too. Hahaha. the shopping seemed to be not enough so we headed to Tiendesitas, where we just ate our merienda but bought nothing.

we headed home. i just gave Mikee her sponge bath, changed her to her PJs and put her to bed. and again, off we go! iwan na uli si Mikee. we continued our shopping spree at Trinoma. The kumares helped me find a pair of office pumps for a very affordable price. Hubby did some Christmas shopping too.

i think i’m too tired to write about what happened last Sunday. ;)

yes, very hectic, and i’m positive that there’s more to come.

reality bites

i never had an ideal guy.

but i had some what i call minimum requirements (which hubby was able to meet). ;)

  1. a college graduate
  2. roman catholic
  3. full-blooded Pinoy
  4. grew up in the Philippines
  5. legally single
  6. parents married and still together

i know the last requirement is unfair. but understand that i had come up with these requirements long before i got “matured’.

i was influenced too much by the fairytale-happy-ever-after ending and probably pressured by society standards.

so i was glad to see the newest Coca Cola commercial where the father was fetching his daughter. she offered her father to have lunch with them first before they leave. the father replied with “iba na kasi ngayon eh.” (it’s different now)

this ad simply promotes openness to the idea of broken families. openness to reality that is.

note: hubby and i are not separating. i’m simply commenting on the tv ad. :D
