career scrapbook
yes, i had one.
i made it when i was still in high school. there, i had put what i wanted to be when i graduate from college, what i wanted to be doing, and even what contents of my bag would be (e.g. cell phone, etc.). it wasn’t supposed to be a career scrapbook. just what i wanted for my future. since i was too young to think about marriage, i didn’t scrap anything about family life.
i forgot about this. but my brother found it in my room when i got married.
in my previous post, i answered:
4. How does your current life compare with where you thought you’d be at this point when you were young?
Ang layo. When I was younger, I focused too much on planning my (future) career. Family came least. In 2003, God made me realized that all this rat-race bruhaha is worthless when the one (that you thought will be) waiting at the finish line had been gone. I’m happier now that I have a laid-back attitude on my career, and more focused on my family.
you see, di naman pala ganun kalayo. if you check my scrapbook, you’ll actually see an office conference meeting picture which i cut out of Architectural Digest (or it could be Time mag). it’s an ad from Fujitsu. well, i worked for Fujitsu Ten for 4 years. then on the same spread, you’ll see ‘me’ using a laptop, another cut-out ad from HP, where i am working now.
freaky huh?
sayang, if i only knew, i would have scrapped my dream house. ![]()
