2 in the afternoon.
the air conditioning was working full blast, and yet, it felt like everybody’s sweating.
the photographers, the videographers were roaming around the room. plus, make up artists were busy with me and my friends and cousins.
our OTD had this disappointed look. the confetti works were not allowed inside the hotel. anything that could explode was not allowed.
i knew that on another room in another floor, hubby was reading a newspaper.
i looked outside, it was still windy. got me worried. heck, it was raining cats and dogs the previous night. the garden must had been so damp. i was imagining the heels of the shoes being stuck in the mud as they walk. plus all the luminaries that i had been working on for the last 8 months would have been put to waste…tsk tsk…i hoped not. i prayed not.
i tried not to think of my lists…i tried not to let my mind run over the items on every lists.
i looked at the time. few hours from now, this would be all over.
FAST FORWARD to January 21, 2008.
Hahaha. I laugh as I realized how silly I was…all the worries shouldn’t have mattered. It was just, although special, one day. Just the start of “rest of our lives”.
Our married life isn’t as perfect as any fairytale. Nor as chaotic as the telenovelas.
Ours is very much like an old cola commercial’s tagline: “Tama ang timpla!”
Like any normal couples, we don’t always meet eye to eye on everything. (Sorry, but I don’t believe there are 2 humans on earth who would agree on everything everytime. Pushovers maybe. But independently, no.)
But like any other couple, we strive to make this marriage work, to make “it” happen.
We have our dreams. Some came true, some have yet to. This is our journey.
Yes, honey, we’re together on this.
Happy 3rd Anniversary. XOXO
