There’s a circulating rumor (’coz I haven’t researched about it if it’s true or not) that POEA requires pinoys who will be working abroad $5000!!! I said “…who will be…” because this applies only to the ones who haven’t worked on that country before. Isn’t that too much?

My OFW friends (ITs in Singapore and Japan) kidded that the money is for the family if in case the pinoy go back home in a box. Bad joke.

Just imagine the sacrifices.

(Hmmm, why not just invest the $5000 on medium-risk mutual funds? At least you enjoy the company of your family and friends here in Pinas. Just a thought.)

This actually made me wonder if the government would like pinoys to stay inside the country. This is quite contradictory to the fact that they are raving about our OFW’s remittances helping the economy.
