the impatient generation

Have you noticed how impatient our generation has become?

Just this week, I’ve been checking my emails every now and then. I was so restless while waiting for some good news. And when I finally get some, I’d wait for more. Mind you, these were just a matter of hours, for some, minutes. But still, I was restless.

Imagine what if emails were not invented. We will have to wait for Mr. Postman to deliver the letters. That could take about a week, and another week for the reply. That would be like centuries for us.

How about when you’re about to meet someone? Hasn’t been your habit to send text/SMS to your friend updating as to your whereabouts every so often?

“Traffic is heavy. I’ll be there in 30.”
“I’m almost there. I can see the building. I’ll be there in 15.”
“I’m here. Where are you?”

So unlike those days when people just agreed on a time and a place. And people show up.

Now, we want everything fast, and instant. Come to think of it, even food!

Ay alam mo sis ganyan din ako minsan. mabilis mainip, mabilis uminit ang ulo dahil sa inip. lagi na lang nagmamadali. Buti na lang yung mga hobbies ko (digi scapping, baking & Photography) eh all about patience. :)

Looking back mas gusto ko yung dati, yun bang personal yung communication. Like letters, I miss receiving letters from someone I care. Feeling ko napaka special ko sa taong nagpadala ng letter kasi talagang pinag aksayahan nya ako ng ink. hehehe. :)

Miss ko na din yung usapang magkikita kayo on a certain time and place. Ngayon, Pumapayag nga na makipag kita sayo pero last minute mag ttext ng ” Sorry ha, di ako makakarating, next time na lang”. :(

yeah i miss that too. the long letters na pinag aksayahan di lang ng ink, pati ng time at effort. (mas mahirap magsulat kesa magtype IMO)

ay oo nga no, may disadvantage pala text messages kasi pwede nga magcancel at the last minute. unlike, nuon, nakakahiyang magcancel kasi lam mo maghihintay. hmmm.
