tag mania

I noticed that bloggers are getting fond of tags nowadays. :)

Here’s one from Mich. Thanks!

A tag about posting the cutest smile of your little one.

I love this pic ‘coz when Mikee was younger, she rarely smiled for the camera. But I was able to capture this one.

And another tag from Kelly. Thanks!

You Are 54% B*tchy

Generally, you’re an average woman, with average moods. But sometimes… well, watch out!Sometimes, you let your mean side get the better of you. And you enjoy every minute of it.

How B*tchy Are You?

But I honestly think I’m not b*tchy…just plain mean at times. ;)

And another one from Anna and Farah. Thanks girls!

Six Unimportant things/habits/quirks about myself.

  • I don’t like warm seats or beds. I like them cold and fresh.
  • I’ll always prefer tomato-based dish over others.
  • I don’t eat any viand with gata.
  • I have the do-your-best-or-do-nothing attitude (which I think is bad. ‘coz when I feel something isn’t going to work, I’m too lazy to even try).
  • I’m a pillow person.
  • I have an affinity for the letter “B” (blueberrycheesecake for my wordpress, bloggerhappy for my domain, beachwear/bubblegum/blockmate for my free themes)

Grab! Grab! Grab!

award from abie

Oh, another award! Thanks Abie for giving me this. :)

I’m passing this to Joanne, Chat, Gracie and Farah.

thriftier by the minute

My friend Cheryl now works and lives in Singapore. We met up last Christmas and reminisced about the years that we’ve worked together with our previous employer. Although she minded her expenses (getting bonds, mutual funds and life insurance quotes), we used to dine out at the Mega strip frequently checking each restaurant, doing our “rounds”.

We laughed realizing how little our salaries were with our previous employer but still managed to spend so much on food and coffee. But now that we could actually afford it, we simply won’t. ;)

taggity tags

Thanks Joanne and Abie for this. And I thought I’m not a love-focused person. Tsk. Tsk. But it’s all good. :)

good Tuesday morning!

If you were stuck in EDSA this morning, and tuned in RX Morning Rush, and wondering if the “bloggerhappy” who made it to the Top Ten “Bad Movie Translations” was me, well, yes. Woohoo! I will just have to wait for Chico to post it on his blog so I could link it here. ;)

Anyway, I met up with the other mommy bloggers yesterday at Serendra. Since pictures from my digicam aren’t post-worthy, too blurry, let me share with you a pic from Mich. (Thanks Mich!)

Edited: grabbed pic from Jacqui and posted here instead (here Alex is looking at the camera and Sandy is upfront)

Juicy bits:

Oh, another thing, who do you think she looks like?

3 awards

Thanks Gracie for this award. I’m so flattered.

I love what she said on her blog, I’m quoting it here:
“…she definitely deserves this award as she has put on a lot of time and passion in creating an informative blog that also reflects her thoughts and insights about life.”

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

Thanks to Vannie for these awards too. (I included the first one ‘coz I’m a blogging mom too LOL)

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end. It keeps us together like our circle of friends. But the treasure inside for you to see is the treasure of friendship you’ve granted to me. Today, I pass the friendship ball to you.

Passing all these three to Tracy and LorieM for their very creative kits. Btw, I won’t mind if you choose to post these awards on your personal blogs (rather than on your digital kits blog).

8 random things about Mikee

Thanks Jane for this.

1. Although Mikee’s afraid of man-made beach motors and pressurized showers, she loves the water. She likes it when it’s calm and predictable like swimming pools.

2. Mikee prefers cars over dolls.

3. Mikee will approach you when you say you have chocolates. :( :)

4.  Mikee likes pretending to use the phone (landline or mobile) but never likes to talk when there’s actually someone on the other line.

5. Mikee used to be a snob. Now she even smiles and waves at strangers.

6. She’s a female version of her dad. The only thing she got from me was her color.

7. Mikee dislikes creamy sauce, mayonnaise, and liquid cheese.

8. Mikee likes it when mommy puts lotion on her every night. And if mommy forgets to, she will bring the lotion to mommy to remind her.

I’m tagging Mich, Kelly and Peachy.

Edited: Thanks to Abie for tagging me with this too.

Take a break

Sometimes, I feel like I’ve been working so hard I forget to sit back and relax. It’s like a never ending cycle. You work, and when you get paid, you buy the things that you need and you want. You buy a big house. You buy a nice car. You save for your children’s education. So, you work some more. Before you know it, you’re buying yourself a life insurance for senior.

They say when you work hard, you should play hard. But isn’t that just too tiring?
