I didn’t know that!
My boss asked me if I’m available today for a one-on-one meeting. I said I am in the afternoon. And so we met. Apparently, he was worried I am overworked. Ok, I know I’ve been working beyond my supposedly working hours, but I didn’t consider myself as overworked. Then he instructed me to file every hour that I actually rendered. Guess what? the expected hours are only 168 hours, and I have filed 225 hours! (and it’s only 17th!)
Then it finally sinked in. I am overworked.

We Filipinos kasi does not mind the additional hours. Ganyan lagi. I remember working 14-18 hours daily for a year and a half before the HR comp and ben manager noticed that he sees me when he clocks in and out of the office. Imagine that! 2 shifts lagi ang trabaho ko. Ok nga lang sa atin, we don’t even feel the long hours unless super stressed out na and the family is already complaining… pero masama kasi talaga. Kaya I admire your boss for being concerned on your working hours
