my student

Oh, I just received another email from our former classmate. He said we should try Stingaree too when we head downtown. Anyway, enough of that.

Yesterday, I bought two charts (colors and shapes) for Mikee. I was so excited to put them up. Mikee of course, was excited too. Then she approached the charts and started pointing to each picture saying “To! To! To!” her version of “Ito! Ito! Ito! (This! This! This!) This left me clueless as to where she got that. But she was so cute, looking like a grown up ordering something from a menu.

I started teaching her. The funny thing was, I was blabbering for a while when I suddenly noticed that all the while, she was mouthing words (without any sound coming from her) while nodding. Hmm, this is very familiar act. Way back in high school, when I do this, it’s either I agree to what the teacher was saying or I was just pretending to listen. Ugh!

cooking up a reunion

Speaking of high school, my high school friends are meeting up in San Diego sometime this year. They were asking me if hubby and I can join them. No final meet-up place yet. But suggestions include the Mira Mesa Blvd (they have Jollibee, Chowking and Red Ribbon there) and Villa Manila and Zarlitos in National City.

Although I suggested that we cook the dinner ourselves for that authentic Pinoy cooking (I sort of tease them when I emailed that we’ll cook adobo and sinigang. I wonder if ingredients are readily available within their area. Still waiting for the next email exchange) but will go out after to experience San Diego entertainment.

We’ll probably wait for the happy hour before heading to Baja or Blue Haven (our former classmate sometimes guests as a DJ there hahaha). These are just their suggestions but nothing final yet. As you know, ideas seem to be endless when you’re all pumped up with excitement.

high school life

Thanks Jody for this tag. I’d say my high school life is a bit ho-hum, and that’s when my rebellion started.

THINK BACK TO 4th year high school… Let’s see how much you remember and how much you regret..

Who were your seatmates? No permanent seating.

Still remember your English teacher? Yes, but he’s not worth mentioning.

What was your first class? Christian Living

How was your class schedule? Can’t remember.

Made any enemies? Yes. But we patched things up when some of us started getting married and having babies.

Who was your favorite teacher? Hmm, in 4th year, none…

What sport did you play? None. Like Jody, I’m not sporty.

Were you a party animal? I attended parties, but not nmn every party, I had to attend.

Were you well known in your school? This I honestly can not tell. But let’s see, throughout high school, I’ve been courted by guys from same, lower and higher batches.

SKIP CLASSES? Yes. Nyahahaha.

Did you get suspended/expelled? Not in 4th year. :P (I was very studious but rebellious)

Can you sing the alma mater? No.

What was your favorite subject? Math

Where did you go most often during breaks? to other sections to talk to friends

What did you do on the last day of school? party with my batchmates.
