two good news

Aggie told me about the good news regarding this and my other blog. I’m so happy! At least I will no longer worry if I’ve been hit by something or not. Although I’m not sure where to check. The last time I checked (this morning) no good news yet. Hmmm… Anyway, like what Aggie said, hopefully these (good news) stay. :)

back to being super

The supposed 30-minute visit to my doctor’s clinic led to an extreme abdominal pain, rushing to the ER and 3-day stint again at the hospital.

My tube was scheduled to be removed last Saturday. According to my doctor, his patients smile right after removal of the tube. But in my case, few minutes after removal, I was in so much pain that I could not breathe. In fact, the pain is still very fresh in my memory. Hubby and my doctor were alternately telling me to relax and not panic. My left arm was so tired (which alarmed me ‘coz this might mean my heart was in distress) so I tried so hard to do deep breaths but I didn’t notice I was doing it so fast. Anyway, the ER doctor arrived at the clinic with a syringe even telling me that it might hurt. Honestly, I was in so much pain (in the abdomen) that I no longer felt the syringe. But my abdomen didn’t relax so I was rushed to the ER.

Anyway, 3 days and 22 gran later (My card no longer covered. Since this is post-operation, it was considered as same illness. I’ve exceeded from my last confinement), I’m back to being super! ;)

Coach baby bags

I was looking for a nice laptop bag, instead I saw multi-function bags that can be used as a laptop bag or diaper bag. But Coach categorized them as baby bag anyway. I am a spendthrift which is why I love things that serve dual or multiple purposes.

But what I love best is:

Or maybe because it’s summer. ;)

never again

I just blogged about how slow my day was. But look now, it’s 10PM and still, I’m working. Ugh! :(

Anyway, I decided to watch PBB instead. And I was so stressed watching the Spanish guy ranting. But at the same time, having fun. Hahaha.

Golly, my activities have changed so much after my operation. It used to be that I watch mostly foreign films and tv series. But now, I watch local channels all day. And I think I know all the lyrics to show jingles/songs and commercials. I kept saying this show or that show is so meaningless and yet, I kept watching. Yes, I am so bored!

Ok, enough blogging, back to work! ;)

slow day at work

I got back to work again today. Since minimal movement was advised, I will be working from home for about a month.

I am still catching up on the current issues of the project and reading old emails. I logged in early but people who backed me up are still offline at this hour. So no one to ask for updates yet.

I guess for now, I can just file my sick leave and man hour for the past 3 weeks. Ho-hum…Zzzz….

shed some pounds

A friend asked me what the most effective diet pill is on the market today. I browsed several forums. I found out that the main concern aside from the pounds shed, are the other benefits (skin care, anti-aging, etc.) one can get from it. I read somewhere that leptovox gives all these benefits. But I believe the effects differ from person to another. For me, it’s always best that it is BFAD approved, just to be on the safe side.

my last song (syndrome)

Since the doctor prohibited me from using the stairs and from carrying anything heavy or my daughter Mikee, we are now staying at a room on the first floor. Aside from surfing, I just watch TV all day (complete with home theater sconces) but cable reception is bad here downstairs so all I watch are the local shows. So no wonder one song kept playing on my mind “I hate the way you walk. Hate the way you talk…And this crazy love, crazy love…” Need I say more? ;)

desktop tag

I’ve seen this tag before but forgot where exactly. Vannie had several blogs so it got me confused. :P Anyway, thanks Vannie for reminding me.

I place my navigations (start button, etc) on my left instead on the bottom. I change wallpapers monthly using the shabby princess desktop calendars. I also have Qlock so I know the time in Cincinnati, Manila, Warsaw and Tokyo.

How about yours, Aggie, Joy and Mai? I’m pretty sure you’ve changed your wallpaper too since your last desktop tag. ;)

weekend scare

While we were eating at the baptismal party, we suddenly decided we should go out for a swim since everybody is free for the weekend. Talk about spontaneity.

So we convinced one of our friends to ask permission from his dad to use their house and pool in Pansol for the weekend. He was at first hesitant saying his dad might not agree on a very short notice. Besides, the pool has no water yet. He said, if we asked the pool to have water, the pool will be ready by midnight. Anyway, his dad agreed.

So off we went!

But by midnight, the water was so hot! Quite expectedly, Mikee didn’t want to swim. She cried when daddy plunged in with her. The next morning, the water was still hot. Again, Mikee didn’t want to swim. But I honestly think if I can swim, Mikee will swim as well. But I don’t think my doctor will be very happy.

Oh well.

Anyway, Mikee woke up several times on our first night there. She was crying to see a different room. (Note: this is a ten-bedroom house with no one living there. The house helps have a different house on the lower part of the lot) But the freaky thing was, Mikee was pointing at someone/something at the foot of our beds while crying.

Yikes!

Tramway review

Last weekend, we went to a baptism at Sta. Rita church. I love this church ‘coz the posts, the doors, the Schlage and the like, looks old. Everything looks aged with time. In fact, hubby and I considered this church for us to be wed. (Unfortunately for hubby, I suddenly remember that I’d want to be wed on any church in Intramuros hehehe)

Then the baptismal party was held at Tramway. The place was spacious and subdivided so there were several parties being held simultaneously. Chinese food was served, more than enough for everyone.

What I didn’t like about Tramway were the servers. They were very impolite! The spoon/fork sets were sent sliding into our table. Duh?! It was a baptismal party, not a mahjong party.

With our experience, I will never recommend this place. Not only the servers represent the restaurant, for that day, they represent the party itself. Tsk, tsk.
