best buy

Last Friday, I chanced upon a digital printing shop. I was so happy to see that their photo books are so nice. I thought it’s high time I have my digiscraps printed. So I inquired about the price and of their discounts.

But twittermate Aggie told me that I can find a cheaper alternative in Quiapo. Even in college, I know one can find the best buys in Quiapo. Aspiring photographers go there, specifically in Hidalgo, for the best yet cheap DSLR’s.

Discovering the cheap photo books (I’m pretty sure this is where the digital printing shops at the malls have them printed anyway), I can get it at half the mall price. How cool is that? :)

some now, some later

When I was younger, one of our playmates who lived next door asked us why our father does not work. You see, my father works for the National Power Corporation. But the men of the families who lived next door (both to our left and right) and across work abroad. This explains why the kids thought our father wasn’t working. Although we’re not the type who shares food like that of I used to see in old movies, these 4 families, ours included, are friendly to each other. All the others in the neighborhood seem to fade away from our awareness.

Anyway, just last week I heard news that the husband who lived to our right passed away. He left his wife quite a sum of money. Good thing also that he had funeral insurance. It’s just sad that he will no longer enjoy the fruits of his labor during his old age as what anyone working abroad would plan to.

It may seem logical to save for the future but we have to balance life so that we enjoy some now, and some later. ;)
