ToT ’08 pictures

It’s BG’s second time to do Trick-or-Treat’ing yesterday. Here are some pictures.

Expectedly, BG didn’t want to wear the wig after a short time of trying it on. Oh well.

And of course, the loots! I separated the hard candies which I gave to BG’s yaya. :D

Trick or Treat?!

I am on leave at work today. No, I’m not sick. I will accompany BG to our office’s trick or treat. :) This year, she will do her rounds at daddy’s office. She did her rounds at my office last year. So I can compare the two offices and decide which have more “generous” employees. Hihihi.

Or maybe, BG can do her rounds at our third office, TWS, next year. (But I never want our team – or even husband’s team – to be assigned to that office ‘coz transport is so difficult.) Or maybe again, next year, BG will do her rounds at our Cincinnati or vegas office. Who knows? :P

Anyway, I just hope the little girl would wear her costume AND WIG. The costume looks ordinary without the wig. You’ll know with tomorrow’s pictures. ;)

is it ok if this one has no title?

Migraine attacks are the pits! I can not concentrate on my work earlier, and tonight, on blogging. Why, I can’t even surf for my favorite topics. Nor can I think of a good title for this blog entry.

~

I am going to miss our department’s Twilight-themed masquerade coffeetalk tomorrow at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Yes, I am going to miss dressing up cocktail for this event. And I am going to miss several photo opps tomorrow night. I choose to. It is my mother-in-law’s birthday tomorrow. (No, I am not linking back to my other blog for the letter I emailed my manager. I choose not to. Hahaha.)

Time for bed. But still hoping to blog more later.

a first-timer in EK

By the title, you know that we chose to join hubby’s family day at the Enchanted Kingdom over BG’s costume party at school. I figure BG can use her costume for trick-or-treat in our office.

The decision was right because:
- we arrived there at lunchtime. We rode mostly early in the afternoon. We didn’t in the late afternoon because the lines were too long by then.
- there was a fireworks competition that night. We saw a total of 7 fireworks display.
- it really felt like a family day. The others were busy competing for the amazing race. Hubby’s team won first place. No, hubby didn’t win any external hard drive, I-pod or the PSP that were raffled that night.
- we were given wizard money worth P200 which we used to buy magic cards, tumbler for BG and 3 gatorades. :P
- it was BG’s first time there and she had a blast!

Took some shots while we were waiting for our turn.

BG enjoying the ride.

BG on her EMO mode. Kidding. ;)

BG and daddy lining up again for round 2.

I took a picture of them while hubby taking picture of BG. :)

BG seriously riding “Hi-ya!” as what she calls a horse. :)

More pictures and kwentos here and here.

undecided

I am so torn!

BG’s school is having a costume party this Saturday. I have bought a nice costume for her with a wig. And I know the kids would all look adorable. I’d like to take their pictures.

But, but, but…

Hubby’s department is having their family day too on Saturday at Enchanted Kingdom. He has enlisted me and BG for the event. Aside from the free tickets, there will be free lunch, snack and dinner. Plus, all my other former teammates will be there too.

Hubby didn’t like the idea of attending BG’s class and just going to EK after. He said the traffic will be so bad and we would be too late for rides even missing lunch and snacks. So either we attend BG’s costume party OR go to EK. I feel so bad ‘coz BG missed her class last Saturday too. :(

I still can’t decide. Argh!!!

looking for the perfect gown

I realized it’s only few weeks away from my sister’s wedding, and I haven’t had the slightest idea what I want for a gown. All I know is that I’d like to complement BG’s flowergirl gown and hubby’s suit. And of course, I’d like to look thin too. Seems impossible huh? I’m thinking what if I start taking diet supplements now and lessen my carbohydrates intake, then I’d be thin by December. I saw some Hydroxycut reviews and it looks promising.

Good thing my sister’s wedding will be held second week of December. That way, I’d be free to eat all I want come Christmastime and New Year’s eve. ;)

Ideally, I’d like to wear a one-shoulder gown in plum. But what do you think of this?

I bet I’d look pregnant in it.

MBAP’s party

The reason why I haven’t been blogging about this was, I was waiting for the pictures to be uploaded so I can snag them. Thanks Abie and Joy!

Last Sunday, the mommy bloggers met up again, this time at Jane’s mansion. I had to comment on the house first. Hehe. I love it because I am so attracted to white interiors and the use of natural light coming in from the windows. Of course, my DD had fun at Sophie’s playroom especially with one toy laptop.

We had food catered by the CCME which was superb.

The kids exchanged gifts. I hope Sophia likes BG’s gift. BG gave her a Nemo coloring book, night light and (washable) tattoo. BG got wood toys (sorry, I don’t know how to name them haha) which she loves playing with these days especially the one where she can change the girl’s clothes and shoes. Hmm, I wonder why BG doesn’t like playing with Barbie but likes this toy so much. Thanks Jody for the toys! :)

Next is the super fun white elephant. Honestly, I was reluctant about this idea because I’ve expected that one gift would look unwanted. (Gosh, it happened as I have expected… Jane, ahem! Hahaha) Apple was our favorite target for this game. I think her gifts were grabbed thrice! And I still smile whenever I remember Mich apologizing to Apple while grabbing the Starbucks gift. :D My first choice were two nice pillows (we only buy these kinds pf pillows at the duty-free so I wonder where Jacqui bought those considering our agreed gift price), which was grabbed by Peachy, who I think still couldn’t get over the fact that Joy grabbed them from her. Lucky Joy! I got a nice Body Shop foot spa with gloves which I love too. I love Body Shop, as you know. ;)

Next was a game where the non-preggy moms will guess the circumference aka belly size of the 3 preggy moms. I won guessing Jane’s size. I chose the large Cheetos among other gifts simply because this is hubby’s fave. :P

We also gave the three preggy moms Jane, Mich and Peachy a nursing bib each from the Indigo Manila. I hope they like the gifts. :)

parties and carbs

Ok, BG and I are all set for the parties. Oh, just one more thing. Hubby is still in the beeeeeed!!! I’m trying to lure him out of it. I told him the guys are playing poker, and there will be a lot of food (and probably beer too).

Speaking of food, I have been trying to go on a low-carb diet since September. But I’m thinking we meet these ladies and their families once a year. So I guess it’s ok to forget about the diet for a while. I’ll just start again on Monday. I’m thinking of taking Fentraphen or L-Carnitine starting next week. Not decided yet though. All I know is that I should be fit this December in time for my sister’s wedding. With all the parties going on, it looks like I’m going to have a hard time.

clock at the station

My mom is redecorating her living room. Guess what? She bought this gigantic clock screwed in a post. I teased her that I stood beside it and waved my hand looking like I’m hailing for a cab. It looks like one of those clocks in the train station of Harry Potter movies. But honestly, it was a good find, it’s just that I don’t think it matches her indoor lighting and furniture. She said she loves it so much that she wants to buy another one. Ugh!

Note: I’ll post a picture of it once I get one. It really looks nice. :)

masquerade ball

I was reading my emails when I noticed that we will have a company-wide “Twilight”-themed masquerade ball. Cool huh? I don’t know what’s up with this company that we seemed to have so many activities these days. One, each department will hold a family day before the fiscal year ends. There’s also beer bash next Friday. And this one, a masquerade ball.

Geez, I wonder if it was just me who is alarmed that the company stocks are down. I should have sold some a month ago. Argh!

Oh well, life isn’t all about making money. I guess I’ll just enjoy what I have and what I get. Now, I better start thinking what to wear. :P

time-bound

I went to the mall to do some last-minute shopping for the weekend parties. I don’t know if it’s just me but I have this feeling that the moms preferred books over plush toys. Since I can not find any non-plush toys that match the descriptions on their wish lists, I opted to look around bookstores. I saw a hardbound Breaking Dawn but skipped to check its price. And I finally found a good book of casserole recipes. I also bought BG a nice Barney coloring/sticker book.

I was too engrossed browsing the books, I didn’t notice the time. It took me 3 hours just to buy 4 items. Tsk, tsk.
