BG meets the one

I have been very proud that BG wasn’t the type who points at a toy inside the mall, and will throw a tantrum when you don’t buy it. She’s the type that when you say “goodbye ball” she’ll let go of it. She quite understands that it is not hers for the taking. Yes, it was peace on earth.

Then BG meets the “car”….

We went malling today as planned. I wanted to buy the gifts for next week’s parties without the husband, so I’d be free to roam around for as long as I want. I gave up ‘coz I can’t find anything that matches the wishlist items.

We went to Landmark next to buy groceries. BG likes sitting on the pushcart while I shop. But Landmark has this pushcart with a “little tikes” car under. BG was reactionless while I put her in and buckle her up. So yaya and I got busy doing the groceries. Once in a while I took a peek and smiled at her. Again, she wasn’t excited at all. She was busy turning the wheel as if really driving.

And then the time came when we had to pay for the groceries, she didn’t want to get out of the car. She was crying. Then I told yaya to let her stay for a couple more minutes till I finish paying for the groceries. When I was done, BG still didn’t want to get out of the car. Yaya had unbuckled her. We then both waved goodbye to her to signify that it’s time for us to go. She suddenly cried a big “CAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR…!!!!!!”

OMG, nakakahiya! She didn’t want to come with me. Mukha akong kidnapper dun trying to get her out of it. She was even trying to buckle herself up. Everybody was looking at us. Gosh, I had no choice but to get her out even while she was crying. Imagine, she kept wailing, “CAR!” with overflowing tears. She was pleading actually. The only time that she calmed down was when I whispered “Let’s ask daddy to buy you a car, ok?”

Lagot ako sa asawa ko.
