my special day
Yup, today, I am a year older, a year wiser. Thanks to everyone who remembered to greet me. I know everyone’s busy with all the preparations for tonight’s Media Noche.
Happy new year everyone!

While hubby was playing playstation, he suddenly missed a shot.
Daddy: Aaw!
BG: Wah apen?

Can’t wait for (my side of the) family reunion this Wednesday. BG will finally come face to face with her Tickle me Ernie.
Does this not remind you of me?
For more than a year now, I’ve been trying to make BG smile for me and the camera. But her peace sign last Christmas Eve cracked me up.
Oh, I forgot to greet my readers and my cyber friends on the 25th (except for those whom I’ve texted). As I’ve blogged before, these two weeks are my “off” days from work, and the cyber world altogether. Hubby and I were busy with last-minute shopping, packing of gifts and thinking of possible home business for the next year. Enough of the excuses, let me just greet you a belated Merry Christmas!!!
When we arrived at the shopping mall, hubby and I agreed on shopping independently and just meet up at an agreed time and place. Then I started shopping. I collected all the stuff before paying because I was planning on using the gift certificates that I have. (Plus hubby gave me some GCs too).
Have you noticed that when you’re using GC’s to pay for stuff, you don’t mind much the prices? That’s how I felt about GCs, it felt like freebies. When I was about to “pay” for the stuff, it turned out that these GCs are not accepted in this mall. Geeez!
I called up hubby immediately telling him that my effort was wasted. He then gave me money to pay for the stuff. Thank goodness for great husbands!
Good thing too that when we came back at the counter, they haven’t put away the stuff. Whew!
Woohoo! Finally posting pictures! Whew!
And of course, a solo of my prince charming.
Ok, I’m taking a break. I need my sanity. I am trying to finish all the pending work to enjoy our two-week company shutdown. But the more that I’m trying to be stress-free during the holidays, the closer I’m getting to being sick.
I am so tired!
Like you, I wanted so much to post pictures here in this blog but have no extra energy to make the extra effort. The service laptop is driving me nuts. Both work and blogging were affected by its uselessness. Grrrrr!
Disclaimer: I’m using the desktop while blogging.
I know I promised photos from my sister’s wedding but I’m having problems with the service laptops that were assigned to me. Why did my laptop break down at this crucial times?
Anyway, here’s a preview. It’s actually the on-site video by Threelogy:
Oops, I meant, one down!
I woke up at 4am this morning by an alarm and by hubby. It took a while before it sunk in that I am being awakened because I told hubby to do so. I planned this last night that BG and I will attend and complete all 9 dawn masses (“simbang gabi”, “misa de gallo” or rooster’s mass)
Just 8 more mornings to go.
Today, I got the service laptop. This one I will use while my laptop is being fixed at the service center. The whole day was spent backing up files and uninstalling the not-really-so-prohibited applications on my laptop. I was warned that it’s possible that the laptop will be formatted. So I had to burn all my work-related files into DVDs and delete the non-work files. Geez, it took me a whole day just to back everything up.
Oh, the service laptop has PS. I’ll start uploading pics tomorrow.
The on-site video was shown last night during the reception program. Geez, I looked so fat, really. Maybe I should really start taking some weight loss pills. My arms are obviously big because I chose a haltered gown. Yeah, I know, bad choice. It used to look so good on me. I guess I must admit I’m different now.
Anyway, BG had a tantrum yesterday just before the wedding. She wasn’t able to take her nap at noontime. So at around 1pm, she was sleeping. The makeup artist took advantage while I carry BG with her head on my shoulders. She had put on blush on each cheek without knowing what the other cheek looks like. During the reception program, wedding pictures were being flashed. One close-up photo of BG showed that she had blush on her upper right cheek and lower left cheek. Oh, she also didn’t wear her flower crown. I tried to but she had taken it off thrice. In the end, she walked down the aisle without the flower crown and with a big mess of a hair.
Note: As soon as I get a service laptop (while my laptop is being fixed at the service center), I’ll include pictures in this post. I’m just using hubby’s laptop. He didn’t (and doesn’t want to) install PS. There’s no way I can resize the photos in MS Paint, is there?
Before anything else, let me share some pictures of hubby and his friends they took when they went to the Maxim event. He brought our old cam instead because he wanted to take videos too. (In fairness, the old cam is reliable when it comes to mpeg4 videos.)

Anyway, I’m now busy preparing our things. We are sleeping at my parents’ house and will go from there to the wedding tomorrow early morning. We have been scouting for affordable vacation rentals for months now. Good thing my sister found a place big enough to accommodate everyone. We will stay there Saturday and Sunday. Ok, it’s ok to panic now! Yikes!
