to cut or not to cut

While I was putting on my anti wrinkle eye cream tonight, I noticed I badly need a haircut. I was so decided until hubby, out of the blue, commented that my long hair makes me deceivingly look thinner. So much for decisions.

Ok, I’ll let it grow for 2-3 more weeks but for sure, I will have to have it cut before July, or I’d look like a member of some cult. :P

picky eater

BG’s eating habits have started to worry me. She continues to drink lots of milk but eat less solid foods. She has become a picky eater!!!

She only eats hotdogs, chicken nuggets, fried chicken, lumpiang shanghai and chicken tinola. Sometimes just picking them and skipping rice! If you look at the way she eats, you’d think she’s on appetite suppressants or she’s on a crash diet, but of course she’s not. She’s too young for those. I think she has just reached the age of being choosy, part of being a toddler.

We are just waiting for her to finish her current vitamins. Then we will have to replace it with another brand. We really hope this is just a phase, and that she overcomes it soon enough in time for school.

2 days left

Two days from now, the nanny will be going back to the province. I’ve talked to the previous nanny. She’d be able to go back only on June 10th. So I’d be nanny-less for 9 days.

I’ll be honest. If only things didn’t start disappearing around the house, and if she didn’t answer back to each of hubby’s instructions, and if she had no epileptic attacks, I would consider her. If only she cared about her work and everything else around her. I think her frequent use of her mobile on speaker mode around me and inside the car, I could take. I can even take that whenever I look for her, I find her staring at nothing, doing nothing, instead of doing her chores. She’s so lazy.

She was lonely when she knew that we have arranged for the previous nanny to go back work for us again. She seemed to be working absentmindedly. I always told her to be mindful when BG starts playing around the computer area and to make sure she won’t bump into the table where the Linksys router is. She had always been careful about that except yesterday. I knew it bothered her that she won’t have any more work.

But then, I told her she need not worry because a friend of my mother-in-law was looking for household help, and we can refer her. She seemed to be happy again.

Still, I thank God that we can finally get rid of her. ;)

up here!

Sharing pics of the little girl during hubby’s team building in Laguna. :)

If you look closely, you’d see me taking her picture, and the clouds as the background. :P

copycat BG ^-^

Few minutes from now I will start packing our clothes for tomorrow. Hubby’s team is having a swimming outing somewhere in Laguna. I am really not in the mood to go. I feel so bloated or simply put, fat. I got no one to blame because I’ve been eating so much lately. I guess I just have to resort to fat burners to look fab on our Hongkong trip 5 months from now. :P

Anyway, I forgot to share this video. I know she seems aloof but actually she’s just very moody. Here’s a sample video where she was in the mood imitating the others who were playing the dance revo. Take note that I was not really aware this video was being taken. I was watching hubby playing “deal or no deal”

VIDEO NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

End of Week

I can’t believe it’s Thursday already. Tomorrow it will be Friday and before you know it, it will be June already! I’m excited because BG will be going to school already. I hope she enjoys and makes friends and talks more! I need to start saving for some Christmas shopping because I’m sure before I know it, it’s going to be September already and there will be a lot of parties, gift-giving and birthdays to attend to!

Half-baked.

I’d like to think I’m baking a cake this year and with May being almost over, it is already half-baked. The cake is whatever goals I have for this year and next month I need to a rain check on whatever needs to be done, reviewed and reprioritized.

I need to do my year-in-review soon. Even half of it. :)

Can’t Get Enough of Babies

Since I won’t be getting pregnant this year (we want to enjoy Hongkong!), I would just live vicariously through babies of friends. I have three mommy blogger friends who have babies under one year and they are such a joy to play with.

Right now, among our circle of friends, there is one who is expecting and we are excited for her maternity portraits this September. She told us she has saved a lot of things from her firstborn since all the baby equipment are still in good condition. So personalized baby gifts would be the best gift for her. Babynest.com has sentimental and personalized gifts for the parents’ new bundle of joy.

Hobbies that turn into Passions

Scrapbooking and Photography. I believe they go hand in hand together. You will never be able to scrapbook if you never liked taking pictures. And if ever you never scrapbooked but take a gazillion pictures, I think in a way you are still scrapbooking. Since when did scrapbooking need to involve flowers, papers and scissors (or digitally, Photoshop)? Scrapbooking is preserving memories. Plain and simple.

Now you just need to make sure the kids see those pictures. Don’t forget to print! ;)
