too much planning huh?
A month ago, my mother asked me if I could book online their flight to Davao. I did and printed the itinerary sheet. She requested me to reserve Marco Polo too for their stay.
A week ago, my mom asked me if I could accompany them to terminal 3. I was surprised because they were a week advance. They explained to me that they want to make sure they know how to drive to the place on the departure day. You see, they have traveled abroad via plane or locally via long drives but not locally via plane. PLUS, they planned on getting their tickets in advance.
Early Friday morning, my mother called me. We had a chat. It seemed to me that they have fully prepared for their trip.
Later that day, while I was doing my groceries, I saw my phone had 5 missed calls and one message from mom saying “emergency”. So I called my father to ask what the emergency was. Guess what? They left their tickets at home and they were in the airport. Nice!
Hurriedly I went home only to find out that the confirmation code/email (I asked for my mom her password to her email) had been deleted. She purged her emails often according to her. So I called the call center and fortunately, I was told that they only have to go to the ticket desk and present two valid IDs.
Whew!
