Active Fun – SM Annex is now open!

My daughter had a BLAST this morning playing at Active Fun, located at the 3rd level of SM North Edsa. At first, she didn’t like to go inside. I kept showing her the giant slides which I knew she’d love. Still, she refused.

After 30 minutes of watching the other kids, she realized she wants to join the fun. :D

And she’s back…

An hour and a half later, she didn’t want to leave!
Any kid would definitely enjoy this fun-filled place! Visit them now! ;)

Click on the thumbnail below to see a wide-angled view of the place.

You can read about their price list here and their party packages here.

More photos will be uploaded to my Facebook and Flickr soon. Stay tuned. ;)

Sky Garden

Today, we went to SM (The Block and Annex) to check out some copper kitchen sinks that my mother asked us to check. The husband was actually looking for a new mobile phone, while I, as planned earlier, checked out the sky garden.

Against my husband’s and daughter’s will (hehehe), I had our pictures taken.

Too bad we went there in the afternoon as many people say the garden looks great in the evening when it is all lit up.

Family Fitness Fun Run

I have been busy looking more information about my research, treatments for Mesothelioma, that I forgot that I should be concerned with the family health too.

“Prevention is better than cure.”

This morning, BG’s school held their first Family Fitness Fun Run of the year. My daughter was too sleepy as the registration was at 7am. She was so used to getting up at 9am.

I actually had more fun during the 30-minute warm up session where a fitness instructor led the parents and kids. We stretched and danced in preparation for the run.

Daddy took this that’s why he wasn’t in the picture. I have no pictures of us while three of us were running together. I sure hope the teachers post the photos they took during the run.

our EHD fell (again)

Our 3rd EHD fell last week. I was pretty much sure it will end up like its two predecessors. The husband was trying to recover the files but all of them are now said to be corrupted. He decided to just reformat it instead.

I was relieved that I have backed up some photos in DVD just before that incident, and the remaining photos that were not yet backed up in DVD still have copies on my laptop.

Times like these that I wished I have an online backup of all my photos, and other files that I bought like digiscrap kits.

Anyway, the good news is, even if the files can not be used anymore, the EHD can be used again. Whew! :)

go for that dream wedding

Your wedding day is one of the happiest moments of your life. Some opt to be wed in their hometown, but many opt to be wed in the most romantic place they can think of. The couple usually choose a venue which has meaning to their relationship, or simply a venue that exudes romance altogether.

The famous Mexico wedding package is highly recommendable to those looking for great destination weddings. The Karisma hotels and resorts have several packages that suit your needs and preferences. As indicated on their website, your day, your way. Check them out now and make your dream wedding a reality!

long weekend

The long weekend is about to end. I was happy and satisfied because I was able to rest for 3 straight days. I was able to clean up a little clutter that has been lying around our place unnoticed. It took me 4 mean hours just to clean our small space. I wonder how much time I could have saved if I have one of those central vacuum systems! Well, it’s ok, I consider it a form of exercise, which I badly need anyway.

hand painting

A friend who was taking Child Psychology once told me that one of the most relaxing activities for toddlers is hand painting. I’m not sure if the teachers from my daughter’s school taught her that she could use her hands when painting, but I saw her doing this, one afternoon. :)

This is BG saying “wash your ands” missing the letter ‘h’

makeup 101

Unlike most women, I am not good in make-ups or hair styles. So whenever I need to attend a formal event, like weddings and debut parties, I had to go to a parlor and pay for my hair and make up.

It would be very convenient for me if I learn some tricks. I’ve told a friend that I’d like to learn and she recommended the michigan cosmetology schools, where she enrolled. This friend actually has her own parlor that she also manages. She even gets featured in magazines for her skills. That’s how good she is and has become after enrolling to a cosmetology school.

my good daughter

I realized one of the many advantages of being married to a good man is he’d give you good kids.

The other day, husband and I were about to leave the house for work, our daughter saw us and told us “bihis na!” indicating she wanted to change her clothes too. Obviously, she thought she’d be coming with us. I told she needs to stay. She then told me “wash na. wash na.” probably thought she just needs to wash up so she could go. Again, I explained that she needs to stay at home while mommy and daddy need to go to the office.

Teary eyed, she just told me she wants to watch Dora. I knew she was trying not to cry. :(
But I assured her mommy and daddy will be coming back home later that night.

I was just amazed that she didn’t throw any tantrums like I used to do when I was a little kid, and that at an early age, she actually restrained herself from crying.

Amazing.

migraines

Migraines have become frequent that it’s starting to worry me. I am almost always sleepy even if I had just a straight 8 hours of sleep. I am sure that I am NOT pregnant so that’s off the list. I can’t help but google for symptoms, and the results just scared me. Bad decision.

I’m having myself checked this weekend. I might just need a change in my diet or routine. I guess it’s wise to get a Medicare supplement plan if there’s a need to change my supplements as well. It could give me much savings.

Or I might just need a pair of new eyeglasses, perhaps?

The stimulus that can be considered as having triggered the migraine headache could be any one that includes having consumed alcohol, changes in the weather, due to consumption of foods, a result of glare, due to hormonal changes in women, hunger, not getting enough sleep, medications, perfumes or even stress.

The ones in bold are my usual stimuli. :(

my blogs should be blue???

I was once told in order to balance out orange is to mix or match it with blue. Meaning, they are actually opposites in the color wheel. I really love the colors orange, (hot) pink and red. That’s the reason why I use these colors on my blogs and my scrap pages too.

Quite the opposite of the mood of my blog contents I guess.

Your Blog Should Be Blue

Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere.
You tend to avoid conflict – you’re more likely to share than rant.
From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book.
