roll… roll… roll…

Oops, no. BG isn’t attending an aerobics class. This photo was taken during the “Reading Makes You A Star” program for their book fair in school.

I found the outfit so cute on her. I hope she can use it again for the next fun run. Or maybe, since I’m considering taking diet pills, I might just enroll us in a mommy and daughter aerobics class instead.

Anyway, after that event, it is semestral break for the little girl. Well, for me too as I do not need to wake up early. ;)

BG enjoyed Fantasy Land rides.

When we got to Disneyland, I was hoping my daughter would let go of her fears, considering all the pre-works that mommy had done for a month. Pre-works mean psyching her up for the picture taking with the characters and watching the fireworks. But quite expectedly, my daughter was scared and didn’t enjoy any of the picture taking.

Good thing though, she very much enjoyed the Fantasy Land rides!

She loved the Cinderella carousel and the Dumbo ride. She got a little bored with the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and It’s A Small World attractions but at least she wasn’t whining. ;)

Believe it or not, while we were in Hong Kong, we did not eat any Chinese food. We resorted to Burger King, McDonald’s, KFC and DeliFrance. I had no appetite anyway during the trip that you’d think I was taking slimming pills. But I guess, I was so tired that I have less energy to even eat. But guess what? The appetite is so back! I think I’ve eaten twice the usual consumption just this week. U-oh!

The Fisherman’s Wharf in Macau.

Before I continue researching on the cheapest way for the family to go on a cancun vacation, let me share with you some more photos on our Macau trip.

I remember reading in one of my favorite forums that it is nice to eat lunch on the Fisherman’s Wharf. We didn’t because we’ve just taken few photos when it started to rain. Argh!

At least, we were able to capture that nice red yacht in this photo.

It was raining in Macau.

On day 1 of our vacation, we went to Macau. We got there via ferry. We got a tour van with a contract of only 2 hours for the entire tour. Unfortunately, it rained! :(

I actually liked streets in Macau. It looks like Italy to me. I was sort of waiting to see manufactured homes but what I saw were small (same-looking) houses lined up on a sloping street, floor of which is made of old bricks. Looks very European to me.

My husband had been planning to bungee jump on the Macau tower, but the waiting line was too long. He was told he had to wait for another 2 hours. We just decided we’d go back to Macau some time in the future.

I bought some goodies for family and friends just at the foot of the ruins, right side. ;)

We did not go to Venetian anymore. I guess the rains had dampened our spirits. It was hard to appreciate the place and take lots of photos when we are holding multi-colored umbrellas. :P

Oh well. Next time. ;)

a wise investment.

We are grateful that we weren’t directly affected by Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng but our hearts are breaking how much everyone so near and we know were affected, one way or another. It is really true that everything happens in the blink of an eye and material things can get lost but what matters is what money cannot buy.

I realized that it really is better to have savings stocked for emergencies, especially since calamities have been happening one time or another. Friends have said gold is a wise investment as it never depreciates. It is pretty liquid too. I am not tied to premium coverage years if I need to sell it. Let’s see.

Esquire’s 2009 Sexiest Woman Alive

When I first saw Kate Beckinsale in one of her movies “Serendipity”, she instantly made a fan out of me with her you-can-never-fool-this-girl beauty. But her role in Underworld sequels in my opinion, showcased her tough beauty the most.

I sometimes have the urge to go to a dress-up party imitating her hair and makeup. I so like her eyes and smile. I even sometimes wish to have a similar set of teeth. I wonder if a simple visit to a prestigious Orange New Jersey cosmetic dentist will do the trick.

Anyway, it didn’t surprise me that she was chosen as Esquire’s 2009 Sexiest Woman Alive. She definitely deserves it.
