Game by Childstar

ok, after 99 years of waiting for the videos to be uploaded over youtube, it’s finally done.

aired just this morning, as i have blogged, at Umagang Kayganda. my brother and i kept texting while they were waiting in between songs.

our cable has a bad reception of channel 2 and i just used my digicam to record, (plus i realized just this morning that i’m bad at taking videos) so just make do with these.

since GAME is my favorite song from CHILDSTAR (bec of the harmonica hehehe), i’ve chosen to upload it first. ;)

the second video (i had to cut it sorry) was the interview where my brother, the one wearing an orange shirt holding a white/black electric guitar, and Marian were asked by Rica Peralejo if each really was a frustrated childstar, haha. I honestly think Rica should have asked the drummer and bassist as well.

This video starts midway their performance. I was not ready to record ‘coz I didn’t notice my brother’s text message. (My phone was in silent mode while recording) Anyway, this is another tagalog song from them, Ako Sa ‘Yo.

btw, they look thinner in person.

Laguna by Childstar

I’ve blogged before that my brother is into bands. I’m not sure why I didn’t blogged that they were interviewed over the radio (Jam 88.3) this month. And they have a single being played now over the radio. It’s the remake of the Sampaguita original “Laguna”. And they are coming up with their own album early next year.

Anyway, if you are an early riser (or still not sleeping), catch the band “CHILDSTAR” at Umagang Kayganda (ABS-CBN Channel 2) on January 2, 2008 at 5:15am.

My brother is the lead guitarist. (Mind you, this is the same brother who, like me, is into robotics and microcontrollers. He’s an active member of Mapua Robotics team. Yes, he’s still young, still in college.)

The lead singer is the one who writes the songs but my brother helps her in putting “music” to it. Oh, oh! The lead plays the harmonica. I just love harmonica. (Basically the reason why I rooted for Taylor Hicks from the very start when I saw his little stint during the eliminations.) Their style is a bit like “moonpools and caterpillars”.
