exhibit displays

It used to be that, as part of my previous company’s solutions endorsement, I man trade show exhibits. The fun part of it, aside from the fact that we were free from our usual workload, were the freebies we got like nice jackets.

Anyway, we had set up the booth putting up our equipment for a live demo. We also got freebies to lure people in. And of course, we had put up posters to advertise the company. Each participant had their own gimmick to lure people to check their booth.

There are nice table covers that have company logos on them so people could identify the booth even from afar. Good thing about these covers is that they are reusable. So you’re all set for your next exhibit.

If you want something really striking, there are table top displays too. I’d say this is a good marketing strategy during exhibits.

Whatever your style is, always provide freebies and live demo. Works most of the time. ;)

earthquake tonight?

There’s a wave of text and online messages that there will be an earthquake tonight between 10pm and midnight with intensity of 6.8.

I understand that if there’s an earthquake in a nearby country, there’s a big possibility of an earthquake here. Very much like stacked up plates, when you pull out one plate from underneath, all the other plates will be nudged or moved.

What I don’t understand is people could predict the time of an earthquake hours before it happens? I think earthquakes can be predicted only about an hour before. Plus, we could observe that animals will be very restless.

To be honest, I’m trying to be logical here but I’m still in some sort of panic. Tsk, tsk.

through the years

Anybody interested on how I looked like when I was younger? I posted a Now and Then tag at my scrapblog. ;)

Anyway, I saw that Aggie posted some pictures of her and her hubby when they were younger. I thought of posting a pic of me and hubby 4 years ago. Note that this pic was taken on the day that hubby was about to propose to me (I had no idea!). :)

Notice how thin we both were!

Mikee’s first crush

Remember Mikee’s crush? It’s her ninang’s boyfriend. And Mikee is now with the boyfriend. Hahaha. Her ninang asked me if she could bring Mikee to Mcdo. And I agreed. But Mikee didn’t want to come with her. (Quite odd. It used to be that Mikee liked going with her.) Anyway, I told her why not the guy “lure” her instead into the car. Hehehe. It worked. Mikee willingly went with the boyfriend.

So off they went. After which, they brought Mikee with them to the grocery. Now, they’re having dinner over at ninang’s house.

If only I could, I’d set up a hidden spy camera there now. (They just live few houses away from here) Just so that when Mikee grows up, she’d see who her first crush was. :)

I was told (through text message) that Mikee didn’t want to eat if the spoon is offered by ninang. It has to be by the boyfriend. Hahaha.

One of these days, I’d take a snapshot of them together. ;)

back to work

I went back to work yesterday but the actual work (bulk of it) came pouring in today. Parallel running in deployment and production. *sigh* Honestly, I miss doing this so I sort of welcome it as a challenge. But please not too much of it.

I think my body isn’t used to stress anymore. After our busy weekend, my whole body was aching, and some zits started showing up my face. I was hoping for a good massage but hubby reminded me I am not allowed to have a massage yet. I am still looking for acne solutions for the zits. And a good scar-erasing cream for my stitch (from my gall bladder removal operation).

Will have to learn how to deal with stress again. Any tips? ;)
