Mikee’s first crush

Remember Mikee’s crush? It’s her ninang’s boyfriend. And Mikee is now with the boyfriend. Hahaha. Her ninang asked me if she could bring Mikee to Mcdo. And I agreed. But Mikee didn’t want to come with her. (Quite odd. It used to be that Mikee liked going with her.) Anyway, I told her why not the guy “lure” her instead into the car. Hehehe. It worked. Mikee willingly went with the boyfriend.

So off they went. After which, they brought Mikee with them to the grocery. Now, they’re having dinner over at ninang’s house.

If only I could, I’d set up a hidden spy camera there now. (They just live few houses away from here) Just so that when Mikee grows up, she’d see who her first crush was. :)

I was told (through text message) that Mikee didn’t want to eat if the spoon is offered by ninang. It has to be by the boyfriend. Hahaha.

One of these days, I’d take a snapshot of them together. ;)

Mikee and her Papa Al

I was not close to my father while growing up. But now that I am mature, I realized that I did not dislike him, I only disliked that he did not approved most of what I did. I am so lucky that the very first time he met my hubby (akyat ng ligaw), he liked him. In fact, he stayed in our sala to chat which he never did with any other guy who came to visit our house. Obviously, he approved of him. In fact, after the announcement party (pamanhikan), it was very obvious that he really like hubby’s family. :)

Lately, we noticed that my daughter give him so much joy. So as a good daughter (ok ok my mom and siblings may disagree with me being a good daughter now, hahaha), I try to bring Mikee to my parents’ house every week.

Anyway, last night, to celebrate mothers’ day, we had dinner with them. Sharing some pics of Mikee with her Papa Al.

Note: Do you know Juan Rodrigo (Amante, Clara’s father in Mara Clara)? He’s my father’s cousin.

Mikee loves Sundays

I love Sundays. I was able to hear mass again today with hubby and Mikee. As usual, we headed to the nearest mall. We paid some bills, window shopped for wood blinds and ate lunch. Mikee had the grandest time when we took her off the stroller. She was running all over the place even yelling at times. She was having fun. More fun when mommy or daddy tried to chase her. Only if we could see life as simple as kids see it. ;)

weekend scare

While we were eating at the baptismal party, we suddenly decided we should go out for a swim since everybody is free for the weekend. Talk about spontaneity.

So we convinced one of our friends to ask permission from his dad to use their house and pool in Pansol for the weekend. He was at first hesitant saying his dad might not agree on a very short notice. Besides, the pool has no water yet. He said, if we asked the pool to have water, the pool will be ready by midnight. Anyway, his dad agreed.

So off we went!

But by midnight, the water was so hot! Quite expectedly, Mikee didn’t want to swim. She cried when daddy plunged in with her. The next morning, the water was still hot. Again, Mikee didn’t want to swim. But I honestly think if I can swim, Mikee will swim as well. But I don’t think my doctor will be very happy.

Oh well.

Anyway, Mikee woke up several times on our first night there. She was crying to see a different room. (Note: this is a ten-bedroom house with no one living there. The house helps have a different house on the lower part of the lot) But the freaky thing was, Mikee was pointing at someone/something at the foot of our beds while crying.

Yikes!
