ToT ’09 pictures

Just like last year, BG joined the trick or treat parade in her daddy’s building. The program started at 1pm. BG kept looking around and checking other kids. Hmm, typical female, huh? ;)

She got excited when she saw Ariel! There were two but she got excited by the one not wearing a wig and kept following her. Never too early to be a stalker! Hmm, why did that line remind me of a friend who kept telling us that it’s never too early to consider whole life insurance? :D

Anyway, there were games and there’s this particular game where the judges will choose 4 best dancers among the kids. BG was just jumping out and down getting excited with the music. So I whispered to the one playing the music to play BG’s favorite, Nobody. And yes, she won.

Unlike last year, she didn’t want to take off her wig. She only agreed to when it was time to sit down and eat her spaghetti. At 3pm the wig is back on for the parade.

I noticed she kept choosing Jelly Ace over other candies.

Anyway, after three floors, she wanted her nanny to carry her. I knew it was time to pack up. So we just went to her daddy’s floor for her last stop. She was happy to see friends she usually plays with during her daddy’s team outings.

Look at her, holding Mr. Pumpkin like a purse.

i choose to limit photo editing

My sister asked me, uhm, well, more of accused me  of editing my photos to make my skin look fairer. She was looking at a set of photos that I did not edit. I guess the lighting was good.

Yes, I do edit my photos. Why not? When one of the advantages of digital cameras is the freedom to edit your photos right after you download them? :P

But lately, I’ve chosen to limit modifications, especially for the skin color/tone. I just thought, the reason I want photos so much is to preserve memories, if I want my daughter (and future grandkids) to really know me (and BG, their mother), I’d better not deceive them

I’d rather have the photos tell our real story, zits and all. :P

Notice how I did not mention the husband. I’d be lucky to have one decent picture of him busy with something. He sometimes pose for group photos, though. But he doesn’t like stolen shots, which I am very fond of.

bubbles at noon

I am working from home today but the little girl is nowhere near me. She went out with her (nanny and) uncle to bring my in-laws (MIL and SIL) to the airport. But before they left, I was able to snap some photos. :)

Excuse the noisiness of the photos. All these happened so fast, well, they have to leave soon for their flight. I had no time to adjust any of the settings. :P

potty training starts today

I placed it outside, somewhere in the corner of the terrace. Just making sure hubby won’t be complaining of any smell.

I think she’s ready. She didn’t complain when mommy didn’t put a diaper on her today. She even seemed to prefer it. Let’s see. It’s just our first attempt anyway. ;)

Besides, this year, we have few definite plans for the family. And in order for two or three of them to be fulfilled, I need to potty train the little girl. Can’t quite get the connection?

He’s here!

Ever wondered what happened to BG’s tickle me ernie? Hubby teased me that I was the one who was more excited than BG. Can you blame me? It came along with my Old Navy purchase (2 sets of matching bikinis and flipflops for BG). For one, I didn’t expect it to be that small. That explains its low price. Nevertheless, BG seems to not mind the size.

Yes, she adores Ernie.

our little flower girl

Woohoo! Finally posting pictures! Whew!

And of course, a solo of my prince charming. :)

going out?

Yesterday, BG saw me preparing for work. Her eyes widened. And then, she took off her house shirt. I just thought she wanted a change. So I opened her cabinet to choose another shirt then she cried refusing the house clothes that I was trying to put on her. Then I asked, what do you want to wear? She chose a blouse that she usually wears when we go out.

Tsk, tsk. It’s her desperate way of telling me “Mommy, I am going with you!!!” :(

Christmas party

As usual, hubby and I arrived at the party venue (A-venue) early, exactly at 6pm which was supposedly its start. The only people there were the band members, the party organizers and the kids from the orphanage who were our guests for the earlier program.

I took pictures of the set-up since the lights weren’t dimmed yet.

It looked to me that the caterer confused our Christmas party with someone else’s wedding huh?

First time to join Wordless here. :)
