Rock stars.

We are blessed with friends that have kids almost the same age as ours. So we attend parties quite a number of times within a year. (And probably our kids will start to hate having and going to parties with us, their parents at the same time. Hahaha.)

My kids do not have any qualms playing games in front, even dancing with other kids in front during “performance” part of a party.

Aside from the games and party food, they have come to love the “extra attractions” like a parlor station, but in this case, since the birthday celebrator is a boy (Joaqui of Peachy), it’s called a rock star makeover station. ;)

It was a really fun “concert” for the kids. My son even got the chance to try out Joaqui’s drum set on stage.

Rock on!

And the award goes to…

Last Saturday, while reading a book, I heard someone moaning in pain. When I turned around, I saw this little guy pretending to have been hurt from a fight, even crouching in an imagined pain.

His weapon of choice? A toy scissor from a doctor set.

Was he giving me a hint that he’s ready to apply as a child actor?

Tickle Me Ernie.

I wanted to post an old photo of Mikee when she was 2.5 years old, to compare with Theo. But I can’t find the photo on my blog posts, Facebook albums and status updates, and my older ehd is still not working. Ugh.

In that old photo, Mikee was hugging her Tickle-Me-Ernie. She gave Ernie to Theo since according to her, she’s big now. Now, this is Theo’s version of how to play with the Ernie doll.

Note: I changed the batteries, hence, the screwdriver. :D

This one, please!

Theo asked for this pack to be opened. I gave him one, he held the cookie looking at it intently, then he pointed to the pack saying “‘to! ‘to! ‘to” which means “ito” (this one). He’s confused as to why his cookie doesn’t have as much candies as shown in the photo.

Yeah, he got exposed to false advertising, at a very young age.

The “Theo” pose.

I am doing the Project Life for 2013, so I take pictures of our daily lives, more often than I used to. I think my son has observed this, and he has come up with his signature face/pose. Notice on the below photos how he “transformed” when he realized I was taking his photo.

I actually had no problem taking his pictures. He does that on his own. ;)

Just a little mess.

They say that never compare your kids. But I couldn’t help but notice the big difference between little girls and little boys. For one, my little girl move with finesse. My little boy is rowdy. My little girl likes to take her time, while my little boy is always in a hurry and full of energy.

Last Sunday, we had lunch together before my FIL left the country. Theo now insists on having his own chair, his own plate, his own utensils, and wants to eat on his own. While everyone is amazed how Mikee can eat spaghetti without a mess, I notice that Theo eats only half of his food, the rest, he gives to the floor.

December round up.

Obviously, I took a vacation from blogging during the holidays. So here’s a round up of my favorite month, December.

1. I joined the Nike run. 10k at that! And it was my first time! It was one of the greatest feeling to finish, but my time isn’t my best yet. I am just glad I was able to finish it. :)

2. Mikee got a video message from Santa Claus. *wink* *wink*

3. Went out on a gimmick with husband, and his sibs and cousins… on Christmas! Fun!

4. The kids received a lot of toys last Christmas, but Theo has a favorite, his red car. He can play with it for hours, so unlike with his other toys.

5. I turned a year older.

That’s it!
Hello 2013!

Sibling love, Gangnam style.

My kids have a complementary play pattern. Whatever Mikee builds, Theo will destroy. Haha. Ok, my son isn’t all naughty. He has a sweet side too. Like whenever he eats a (Nissin) wafer, he will always give the other one to her sister. He will insist the wafer to Mikee, who is just more than glad to have it. Or like when we stroll, he would always take Mikee’s hand. Sweet huh?

Anyway, he has been so fond of dancing to the tune of Gangnam Style. But people who sees him dance are more so.

ToT 2012

When I saw this teaser, I was disheartened because Mikee’s Trick-or-Treat activity in school is also on the same date. So I talked to Mikee and asked her if she wants to join Theo in our office’s Trick or Treat. Of course, I’d want them to be together in the activities. But she declined, saying, “I don’t want to join in your office. I want to be with my friends.”

How can you argue with that? So instead, I just took pictures of her before she went to school.

While our little boy had fun!

Even before the rounds, Theo was hyperactive running around with his bucket. He enjoyed getting the candies, even putting some in other kids’ pumpkin baskets. But he only gets one or two candies at a time. I was surprised he still got many, enough to last 2-3 weeks. But he got so hungry, he had a burger, pasta and milk just after going around 2 floors.
