More sharing to come.

…And I’m back!

Life has been very busy. The kids got sick, then the husband got sick when the kids got better. Then I got sick when the husband got better. And there’s work. Figuring out the best report designer that we should use.

But the good news is I managed to keep my sanity. I almost gave up blogging but why give up something you enjoy, right? I am no celebrity but I love sharing my thoughts on things and events that I had. I’m glad that most visitors to this blog find my posts about our out-of-the-country trips and party preparations very helpful. Oh trust me when I say I would love to share more! Cheers!

today

Today I had a wakeup call. It brought back a desire that had long been suppressed to give way to one unselfish calling. But as they say, desires are nourished by delays.

I was sad. Even if it was expected, for when I have chosen, I knew of the consequences. I had to do what I had chosen to do. I had to be ready for the repercussions. But I wasn’t. I thought I was.

This time, I choose to give in to this one desire, knowing that even if I don’t, I can be happy. I just want to be happier.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

HAND: type

BRAIN: sleep

Just like when you use any battery operated gadget (or toy) then it’s starting to work either slower or erratically all because the battery is almost empty? I think that’s what’s happening to me.

The other night I was chatting with my sister. I was supposed to type “oo naman duh?” but instead what I saw on my screen was “oo never though”

My sister and I were laughing. It was not the first time that happened to me. Geez, I need a break. Seriously.

End of Week

I can’t believe it’s Thursday already. Tomorrow it will be Friday and before you know it, it will be June already! I’m excited because Mikee will be going to school already. I hope she enjoys and makes friends and talks more! I need to start saving for some Christmas shopping because I’m sure before I know it, it’s going to be September already and there will be a lot of parties, gift-giving and birthdays to attend to!

Hobbies that turn into Passions

Scrapbooking and Photography. I believe they go hand in hand together. You will never be able to scrapbook if you never liked taking pictures. And if ever you never scrapbooked but take a gazillion pictures, I think in a way you are still scrapbooking. Since when did scrapbooking need to involve flowers, papers and scissors (or digitally, Photoshop)? Scrapbooking is preserving memories. Plain and simple.

Now you just need to make sure the kids see those pictures. Don’t forget to print! ;)

Cravings

What do we eat when summer has arrived?
1. Halo-halo
2. Ice Cream
3. Fresh fruits with crushed ice and lots of milk
4. Shakes – mango shakes, banana shakes, strawberry shakes!

ANYTHING cold. Just the other night, I caught myself eating a whole container of ice cream! Golly!
No wonder I’m having a hard time trying to maintain my figure!

driving lessons: day 2

Refresher… So that your memory will be refreshed… Would eventually bring back memories, good and bad.

I was talking while driving, just so I could concentrate on the NOW than on the memories. I think this pissed off the instructor. He was sarcastic. I was laughing it off. I didn’t care. My legs were too tired to even care.

Now I remember why I didn’t like driving.

driving lessons: day 1

I have been planning to take driving lessons. So I told hubby to stop by this driving school near our place on our way home from the mall. The plan was just to inquire. I asked how much and when I can start. Funny, ‘coz the answer was “ma’am, we could start in 15 minutes”

Hu-what?!?!? Fine!

Fifteen minutes later, I was driving around Congressional and Visayas Avenue. An hour later, the instructor told me he was impressed that the engine hasn’t died on me. Wow! I was really happy to hear that. Then, just when I was driving in the last two U-turn’s, the engine died down, twice!

He and his big mouth! :P

this summer

I looked into my calendar and was excited to see that our summer will be super fun! I only got 3 weekends free for months of April and May. Mikee will be super tanned by June, and my father will, for sure, notice the change on his granddaughter’s skin color. :)

PLUS, I am planning to cross off two of my 2009 to-do’s this summer. Yes!

time to learn

Unlike others, it was never my goal to learn how to drive. I was so comfortable being a passenger. Plus, I am surrounded by people who are just so tired of driving. So I was thinking, why would I want to stress myself out like them?

But lately, I felt the need because of the following reasons:
- If hubby’s training in Warsaw pushes through, I’d be left with no one to drive for me and my daughter.
- Mikee might go to a toddler school that’s far from our house, and I’m likely the one who could adjust my work schedule and bring her to school.
- I’d like to attend some lessons, and probably for Mikee too that would definitely require me to drive (in case hubby is not up for it).

Now, the question is, where do I find the time for the driving lessons? :P
